Mission Awareness Among University Students

**Students praying during the mission awareness at UR Butare.**
God continues to open doors among university students. Viateur recently facilitated mission awareness seminars with:
- CEP – University of Rwanda, Remera campus
- GBU – University of Rwanda, Huye campus
Leaders from CEP Remera are now considering making this seminar an annual event and exploring regular mission study gatherings.
One student shared this reflection:
“I knew that God has a heart for the nations, but this seminar helped me understand how I can personally participate in His global mission. I realized I need to reconsider how I support missionaries through prayer and giving.”

Mobilizing Through Discipleship
At Tubasange we believe mobilization grows through discipleship.
- Viateur leads a weekly Discovery Bible Study with six members of an ADEPR choir.
- Pacifique is discipling three young adults using The Fuel and the Flame, a book that encourages evangelism, discipleship, and mission engagement among students.
God is already raising new volunteers through these groups:
- Neema, a graduate, now volunteers in student mission mobilization.
- Pacifique, a Kepler College student, serves with Tubasange in communications.
- Elyse, a medical student, is prayerfully considering starting a discipleship movement among students in his college.
Meanwhile, the discipleship of DM2 graduates continues online through weekly and bi-monthly follow-up meetings.
Our desire this year is not only to organize programs but to sustain a long-term passion for God’s mission.

Prayer for Missions Is Growing
Since October 2018, Tubasange has hosted a monthly prayer gathering for Rwandan missionaries every first Sunday of the month.
Today we are seeing this vision multiply.
- DM2 graduates have started prayer groups on university campuses.
- A prayer group among ADEPR families now meets monthly.
This group started in June 2025 with seven people, and already:
- 4 members have completed the Kairos Course
- 2 families now give monthly toward missions
- The group regularly receives prayer requests from missionaries
Recently Janviere Nishimwe, a Tubasange member preparing for the mission field, visited the group and shared her testimony. The families committed to pray for her as she prepares to go.

Mobilizing the Church Through Media
God has opened a new door through Christian media.
Pacifique has begun recording a weekly teaching program on Semita TV exploring God’s mission from Genesis to Revelation.
So far:
- 9 teaching sessions have been recorded
- The teachings will also be shared on the Tubasange YouTube channel
- Pacifique has appeared in three additional TV discussions at Semita TV
Already some viewers have expressed interest in supporting the ministry, and one couple decided to increase their giving after watching the program.
We pray this platform will help engage many believers across Rwanda with God’s mission.

Leadership Transition for Kairos in Rwanda

After more than 10 years of leadership, Pacifique and the Kairos team have passed the leadership to a new generation of mobilizers.
This transition opens a new season of using Simply Mobilizing courses to equip churches across Rwanda.
Two Kairos Courses are being prepared for April, including one for an ADEPR choir and another possible course for the Rwandan community in Kenya.

Strengthening Care for Missionaries
The Tubasange member care team has begun the year with renewed commitment.
They meet:
- Every Tuesday morning for prayer
- They meet monthly to study the book ‘Serving as Senders’ and learn practical ways to support missionaries.
They are also preparing to help partner churches develop member care teams for the missionaries they send.

Please join us in praying:
- We pray for God to expand the ADEPR prayer group and bring forth more workers for the nations.
- We pray for a movement of disciple-makers among university students.
- We pray for the media ministry to reach a wide audience throughout Rwanda.
- For the two upcoming Kairos courses, that they will have lasting impact.
