The DM2 (Discipleship and Mission) residential program ran from July 21 to September 7, 2025, bringing together 13 college students and the Couple of Viateur for two months of intentional discipleship and mission training.

The aim of DM2 is to help students set aside time to retreat with God, gain clarity about His calling, and understand their role in His mission. Participants are reminded that they are co-workers with God in proclaiming the Gospel to all people (Mark 16:15) and making disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19)—disciples who will, in turn, disciple others (2 Timothy 2:2).

This year, many participants expressed renewed commitment to short-term cross-cultural mission tripsduring school holidays and are exploring creative ways to mobilize peers and reach international studentsin Rwandan universities.
We praise God that several participants are considering short-term missions and one is clear that about long term after graduation—a direct answer to our prayer for more young people to gain exposure and vision through short-term experiences.
Of special note, eight of the thirteen participants came from UR-Busogo Campus, which will make follow-up and teamwork easier as they continue to practice spiritual disciplines, giving, evangelism, and discipleship together. Jules a graduate of DM2 2024 has agreed to coordinate their follow-up and prayer meetings every two months.
