The year is moving quickly; we are already in May. As we look back on the past two months, we are filled with gratitude for the many ways God has been at work through Tubasange. From university campuses in Rwanda to ministry opportunities in West Africa, the Lord has continued to open doors for mission mobilization and discipleship<\/p>\n

Mobilizing Students on Campus<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Mission awareness seminars held at GBU-UR Huye, CEP-UR Huye, and CEP-UR Rukara.<\/p><\/div>\n

During March and April, we had the privilege of reaching around 1,200 students through mission awareness seminars held at GBU-UR Huye, CEP-UR Huye, and CEP-UR Rukara. At GBU, the first seminar focused on building a general understanding of God\u2019s mission, followed by a second on cross-cultural evangelism\u2014especially how to reach international students and people from unreached backgrounds living in Rwanda.<\/p>\n

These gatherings stirred a genuine hunger among students to grow in their understanding of God\u2019s global purpose<\/strong>. Some have already begun discussing making these seminars an annual event, while others are exploring how to introduce the Kairos Course within their fellowships.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

A Growing Vision for International Students<\/strong><\/h1>\n

One of the most encouraging developments has been the growing vision to reach international students. At GBU, there is now a challenge to start a dedicated ministry focused on internationals, including an English-speaking home cell group.<\/p>\n

This vision is expanding further. Through a workshop led by Pacifique, students and mobilizers were encouraged to develop a heart for welcoming international students, especially in universities like ULK, where a large percentage of students come from Sudan and South Sudan.<\/p>\n

A team is now forming to begin weekly visits\u2014building friendships and intentionally sharing the Gospel. We see this as the beginning of a strategic and growing ministry.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Kairos Courses: From Vision to Action<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Kairos Graduation<\/em><\/p>\n

Alongside campus outreach, we were privileged to run\u00a0two Kairos Courses<\/strong>\u00a0that brought together\u00a037 participants<\/strong>. One course gathered church leaders and influential members, creating space for deeper reflection on God\u2019s mission. The second course was designed for an ADEPR choir already exposed to missions through the DM2 program and previous seminars.<\/p>\n

It has been inspiring to see how God is using even choirs as a platform for mobilization.<\/p>\n

Through these courses, several participants committed to supporting missionaries financially, including the Mazimpaka family preparing to serve in Senegal and the choir from ADEPR will be supporting those that we are sending and are members of ADEPR church. In addition, a small group has begun meeting to explore how they can reach Sudanese students studying at ULK.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Perspectives Course: Investing in Depth<\/strong><\/h1>\n

We also launched a 15-week Perspectives Course with a small but the course is giving us a valuable opportunity to prepare a missionary candidate who did not attend our mission school and is preparation to go to South Sudan next year in January. At the same time, the course is providing valuable opportunities for newly trained instructors to step in and teach. They are doing an excellent job.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

West Africa: Strengthening Partnerships and Vision<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Beyond Rwanda, God opened doors for ministry in West Africa. Assumpta had the opportunity to speak at a major\u00a0MANI (Movement for African National Initiatives)\u00a0<\/strong>consultation in Ivory Coast, sharing on engaging youth in missions and preparing missionaries for the field.<\/p>\n

At the same time, Pacifique traveled to teach at the launch of the\u00a0Perspectives Course\u00a0<\/strong>in west Africa and to visit Ardin and Nadine, the missionary couple sent to Guinea last year.<\/p>\n

Pacifique Teaching Perspectives in Ivory coast<\/p><\/div>\n

This visit was both strategic and encouraging. In addition to preaching in their host Assemblies of God church, a memorandum of understanding was signed with church leadership to strengthen member care. Pacifique saw the need and the opportunity to reach the Fulani people in Conakry, many of whom have little access to the Gospel and how Ardin and Nadine are still in the process of learning the best way they can reach this people.<\/p>\n

It was deeply encouraging to see how well the missionaries are settling in and how the receiving local church has been supportive of their vision.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Mission School Exposure: Counting the Cost<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Mission school students trip at the Coast of Kenya & Tanzania<\/em><\/p>\n

As part of the mission school program, students were sent for practical exposure to the coastal regions of Kenya and Tanzania. These areas present real challenges, with strong Muslim influence, visible persecution, and difficult living conditions.<\/p>\n

Yet it was precisely in this context that students experienced the reality of mission in a deeper way. They witnessed firsthand the cost of following Christ, participated in the life of house and underground churches, and even took part in baptisms.<\/p>\n

These experiences have left a lasting impact, with some students now considering returning for short- or long-term mission service in the coast of Kenya and Tanzania.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
