THE IMPACT OF MOBILIZATION AND DISCIPLESHIP

Story of a Mobilized life:

My name is Iradukunda R. Eric,
I am a student in the final year and I am saved through
the Eternal sacrifice of Christ on the cross which satisfied the wrath of God.
I was raised in a Christian home but I was not saved until when I joined a discipleship group where I learnt the true message of the Gospel and since then in 2015 my life has changed and I began to have a thirst for studying the word of God and in 2017 I learnt that Gospel should be preached in all nations when I

attended the Kairos course and I understood the Heart of God for all nations and realized that there are people who have never heard the Gospel for the first time, then I decided to walk with God in his purpose of redeeming all nations. I realized that there are different ways someone can be involved in missions through prayer, giving financial support, going and  mobilizing others; because I am student I found that It is hard to commit a consistent giving then in my heart I felt a burden of discipling others in order to help them understand the Gospel and God’s heart for all nations. I immediately thought of starting from a music ministry called “True Promises” that I am also a member.

We started a small group of Bible study and people began to join us but later many dropped and I remained with

10 people whom we studied the word of God together for 2.5 years, we were meeting in a very small house that I was renting with my brother. In 2019 I thought of starting a new group because of a friend who kept asking me what we learn in the discipleship group then I decided to go back to True Promises to mobilize those who would like to join us. I had then 2 groups to
follow but I put much effort in the new group with only 3 people and all of them got saved and that gave me more courage and the 3 people mobilized others and the group kept growing up 30 people before Covid-19.

During this discipleship process we have a done a Bible Study called “Sesengura” (Xplore) and we took an application of starting to support one missionary through prayer and finances and we chose Olivier who is working among the Swahili of Mombasa now it has been 10 months that we are able to support him consistently.

In discipleship; it doesn’t matter the number of people you begin with, I started with a small number and they did the same to others. We are now a group of 80 people and some are outside of Rwanda. I have learnt that we need just to be obedient
to God and He deals with the rest for His glory.
